Palestinian Authority
Background
In January 1998, the Palestinian Authority (PA) initiated two cancer registries to cover its population:
- In Gaza
- On the West Bank
The cancer registry headquarters is located in Shifa Hospital in the city of Gaza. The registry center is under the direct control of the Minister of Health.
Statistics
The registry covers the entirety of the Gaza Governorates, which has a population of approximately 1,040,000.
